This sunburst flame mahogany Jupe table has been hand-crafted by our master cabinetmakers and professionally French polished by our in-house team (over £2,000 in polishing works alone). The result is a table that oozes sophistication, grandeur, and timeless design, comfortably seating up to 12 guests.

What Is a Jupe Table?

The Jupe table, invented in 1835 by English cabinet maker Theodore Alexander Robert Jupe, is a circular expanding dining table that has become synonymous with elegance and innovation. Its defining feature is the ability to expand seamlessly, with sections diverging from a central point and infill leaves completing the extended surface.

Also known as a radial, lotus, or expanding table, the Jupe design remains one of the most admired feats of furniture engineering — perfect for both intimate entertaining and grand dining occasions.

The Beauty of Circular Dining

Craftsmanship & Materials

This table is constructed using only the finest burr and flame mahogany, enhanced with hand-cut inlaid marquetry. Burr wood — the most valuable part of the tree — is celebrated for its swirling grain and natural beauty.

Marquetry artistry further elevates the piece, with contrasting materials (wood, mother of pearl, pewter, brass, or shell) inset into the veneer to create exquisite decorative patterns.

  • Clear or Farrow & Ball colour lacquers available
  • Applied using professional AC two-pack lacquer finishes for strength and longevity
  • Environmentally safe, durable, and ideal for heavily used areas

Note: We strongly advise against inferior oil finishes, which do not protect against wear and damage.
